I almost forgot it was Tuesday today–having a long weekend always throws off my weeks. So here is a rather late Teaser Tuesday post, but at least I had a good Monday/Tuesday. And for posting late, I’m even throwing an extra sentence in the teaser today!

The rules for Teaser Tuesday, hosted by Miz B of Should Be Reading, are simple:

  1. Grab your current read
  2. Open to a random page
  3. Share two “teaser” sentences from that page (without spoiling the book!)
  4. Include the title and author so others can find the book if they enjoyed your teaser

This week’s teaser:

“Isana forced herself to sit up as her vision grew darker and darker. She pointed a finger, weakly, toward the fire. Everyone turned to look–and Aldo’s eyes widened in sudden comprehension.”

~Furries of Calderon: Book One of the Codex Alera, Jim Butcher, page 114 (I’m not actually reading this book right now, but it’s on my list of books to be read immediately once I’m done with The Wheel of Time)
